Hair Bows, Hair Do's and Bloomers

How is that between hair bows, hair do's and bloomers we manage to lose at least 20 minutes? Seriously.  And that's just on the front end. you know the end where you aren't even out of the house yet?  Nevermind that you'll be repeating that same process in the car in the parking lot once you arrive (20 minutes late) to your destination.

It seems like the obvious answer is just to plan ahead but does anyone actually do that? People who have boys don't have to worry about this. We have 4 girls! little girls. with non-compliant hair. who like to run, shrieking, through the house and under the table at first sight of the hair brush.

Enter the hair bow nazi.  I recently moved the hair bow organizer (yup it's definitely worthy of that name) to right next to garage door so that they would be the last thing we grab on our way out and first thing we put away when we get home. Because hair bows are expensive. I mean expensive. My littles are rocking the piggies lately which means we have to get 2 of each color (x four girls) so you get where I'm going with this. So my girls had better not come out of church nursery missing one of those precious little babies. Or I just might sell their snack as reimbursement for damages.

And how is it that I don't notice the Dora panties on the girls until I'm buckling them into their carseat? Then it's a (like by now 3rd) dash back into the house to dig out bloomers so we aren't flashing half the church during our pew acrobatic act that has a prime time slot during the sermon.

But after all that work they sure do look cute. And of course it seems so easy. Little do you know I'm giving them the mommy eye if they so much as think about touching their hair.

So the take away is...pray for a boy:) or start saving for your hair bow fund.
